Kariyer
Dr. Cook yıllarca başta Kanatlı Enfeksiyöz Bronşitis’i (IBV), kanatlı adenovirus (EDS-76 da dahil olmak üzere) ve avian pnömovirusları (APV) olmak üzere çeşitli kanatlı viral hastalıklarının patogenez ve epidemiyolojisi hakkında çalışmalar yaptı. 2000 yılında emekli olana kadar kanatlı aşılarının araştırılıp geliştirilmesi üzerinde çalıştı. Emekli olduktan sonra farklı organizasyonların danışmanı olarak, konuşmalar yaparak ve kitaplara bölümler ve makale özetleri yazarak kanatlı hastalıkları alanında çalışmaya devam etti. Diğer birçok aktivitesinin yanı sıra Avian Pathology dergisinin bir editörüdür.
